OTTAWA, Ont., April 29th , 2002: The members of the Supreme Court of Canada will hold their annual retreat in Toronto, Ontario on May 3rd and 4th to discuss matters relating to the administration of the Court. In conjunction with their meeting, the members of the Court will also meet with the Chief Justice of Ontario, the Honourable R. Roy McMurtry, and judges from all levels of the Ontario judiciary.
Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin stated “The members of the Court welcome opportunities to meet with our colleagues at other levels of the judiciary so as to advance our understanding and appreciation of our respective roles within the Canadian justice system.”

OTTAWA (Ont.), le 29 avril 2002 : Les juges de la Cour suprême du Canada tiendront leur retraite annuelle à Toronto (Ontario), les 3 et 4 mai prochains, afin de discuter des questions touchant l’administration de la Cour. Cette année, nos juges auront également l’occasion de rencontrer le Juge en chef de l’Ontario, l’honorable R. Roy McMurtry, et d’autres membres de la magistrature de cette province.
D’affirmer le juge en chef Beverley McLachlin : « Les juges de notre Cour considèrent profitables les rencontres avec leurs collègues d’autres juridictions. Ces discussions permettent de mieux comprendre nos rôles respectifs au sein du système de justice canadien. »
